The beginning of the restoration of the covering of the museum of Morlaix.

On Thursday 26 January, we celebrated a special day in Morlaix with Le Guern Materiaux and the companies Tanguy Couverture and UDOC under the slogan “committed to the Breton heritage”.

In a friendly and convivial atmosphere with all the guests, we presented the restoration work on the roof of the former Jacobins convent in Morlaix, now transformed into a museum.

After several weeks of work, we painstakingly produced the slate used for this site, in Brouillée format in different widths and lengths and with a thickness of 8mm. As always, our team was actively involved in this order, the main difficulty of which was the production of over 40 different models with a number of pieces calculated in detail for each format.

After an introduction of the participating companies, Le Guern Materiaux offered us an evening where Brittany and Galicia were very present with their gastronomy and music performed by Clarisse Lavanant, a well well-known Breton singer-songwriter, accompanied on the piano by Philippe Guével as well as Sito, our main musician, who entertained the guests until late at night.

We are very grateful for the trust placed on us by choosing our K08 slate for these representative buildings and, at the same time, we are proud that our brand is part of the French heritage on monuments that represent a part of their History and that will be admired by the next generations.
