In K08, work of each person is unique and unrepeatable. As in many other manual jobs, every employee leaves his/her mark on the part of the chain he dominates, all are different and all important. Because the final result, depends on each shackle. And each shackle is a artisan who performs his work from experience and dedication to this profession.
Traditionally, men and women have shared place in slate factory of Valdeorras region. But, the meticulous job of selecting and placing the stone to be packed properly has been reserved for women. A job that, far from being minor as it has been qualified for years, represents the determination, good work and perfection of our artisans.
We are amazed to see the visitors’ faces when they observe their work. In fact, even for us, their professionalism surprises us every day.
