The Church of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine

Today, we’re delighted to present a new building site in the new commune of Orée Anjou, in the Maine-et-Loire department of the Pays de la Loire region. The term “Orée” reflects the fact that this new commune is on the edge of Anjou, with neighbouring communes to the west and north belonging to historic Brittany.

The project involves the restoration of the Church of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine. A first phase of work is underway, including restoration of the west facade, as well as the roofs, windows and stained glass.

Originally built in 1211 in Romanesque style, the church was almost entirely rebuilt in 1867, adopting a neo-Gothic style.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to ADN Nort Sur Erdre, Ent. Lesurtel and Ent. Anthony Geslin for their confidence in our STAR range K08 slate, selected with care and attention to detail by our team. Their expertise and commitment guarantee a restoration that respects the history and unique architecture of this emblematic church.
