Visits of the youngest people are always enriching and this time it would not be less. This week we have received in our facilities, students from the Tomás Terrón Mendaña School of Sobradelo, Carballeda de Valdeorras, and from IES Cosme López of A Rúa, thanks to an initiative promoted by the Cluster da Pizarra de Galicia.
The final objective was that the young people of the region could discover all the phases of elaboration process of the slate. During the visit, the students saw the work carried out by the professionals who are part of this chain.
After the tour, a technical stop to regain strength became an exchange of questions and ideas of all kinds, about issues of extraction, processing, transport, billing, etc.
From our side, the K08 team expects to continue receiving this type of visits to its facilities, the only way for the youngest to know and value the work of slate, in the place where 90% of this product goes to the rest of the world.
